Delicious Thanksgiving Pumpkin Pie Recipe

Because Thanksgiving is coming up soon we want to share with you a recipe that we know you will love. Even if you do not like cooking, this is a great time to spend time with your family and friends make a delicios Punkin Pie.
Pumpkin Pie Recipe
Ingredients:
·         1 package of 8oz softened cream cheese
·         2 cups of canned pumpkin mashed
·         1 cup sugar
·         1/4  teaspoon of salt
·         1 egg plus 2 egg yolks beaten
·         1 cup of half-and-half
·         1/4 cup melted butter
·         1 teaspoon vanilla extract
·         1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
·         1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
·         1 pre-made pie dough
·         Whipped cream as a topping if wanted
Directions:
·        For the crust:
o       Preheat oven to 350 °F
o       Place pre-made pie dough in a 9 inch pie pan and press down along the bottom and sides
o       Pinch the edges of the dough to create your own special design
o       Put the pie shell in the freezer for 1 hour
o       Place aluminum foil on the shell to cover the inside and place pie weights on it
o       Place the pie shell with weights in the oven for 10 minutes
o       Remove the foil and pie weights and bake for another 10 minutes until the crust is dry and beginning to show color
·        For the filling:
o       Beat cream cheese with a hand mixer in a large mixing bowl
o       Add the pumpkin and beat until mixed fully
o       Add the sugar and salt and continue beating
o       Add the eggs with the yolks, half-and-half, and melted butter and continue beating
o       Add the vanilla, cinnamon, and ginger, and beat until fully mixed
o       Pour the filling into the warm pie crust and bake for 50 minutes or until the center is set
o       Place the pie on a cooling rack and cut into slices topping it with whipped cream
